Inn At New Hyde Park
Case Study
The Client
Established in 1938, The Inn At New Hyde Park is a favorite restaurant, catering and event facility for families in New York City and on Long Island. The Inn had recently changed ownership with plans for a grand renovation and expansion into a magnificent multi-million dollar, turn-of-the-century catering and event facility with grand ballrooms, lush gardens, and an entire private bridal floor.
The Goal
The large investment in renovations required a successful ROI. The Inn only had a small online presence with an average of 300 website hits per month. Creating the perfect online experience that engaged brides, families, and corporations to book events at The Inn would help ensure that ROI. With a turn-of-the-century theme, the partners wanted a fairy-tale, turn-of-the-century, online experience complete with an old, leather-bound book that visitors could interactively flip through to learn more about The Inn’s services. The site would include other media tools to engage visitors in a fairy-tale fashion.
The Results
A highly engaging Flash website that perfectly captured the ambience of the newly renovated facility, including downloadable information, a photo gallery, and high-definition web video all encompassed in an interactive old, leather-bound book that looked so real you wanted to reach out and touch it.
Within one month of launching the new site, site traffic jumped to over 90,000 hits per month and The Inn booked the new facility out two years in advance.
